Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani (pictured) met with Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani in Doha on Wednesday.
The two officials discussed ways to enhance the bilateral cooperation between their respective countries, whilst also holding talks on developments in the region and means to de-escalate them, focusing primarily on joint mediation efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
"The meeting also dealt with discussing a number of issues of joint interest," the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
