The Reserve Bank of Australia's Deputy Governor Michelle Bullock declared on Thursday that the latest CPI reading of the country came a little higher than expected by the bank.
Speaking to lawmakers, Bullock stated that goods inflation is coming down but that services inflation is higher than policymakers are comfortable with.
According to the latest report from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, inflation in the country rose 5.4% year on year in the quarter to September, driven by higher fuel prices.
