Siblings of independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. issued a statement on Friday condemning his endorsement of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

"We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future, a future defined by individual freedom, economic promise, and national pride. We believe in Harris and Walz. Our brother Bobby's decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story," Kerry Kennedy shared the family's statement.

The 70-year-old politician, who parted ways with the Democratic Party last year, decided to suspend his presidential campaign from key states where his candidacy could harm Trump and Harris' presidential race. Kennedy Jr. also decided to throw his support behind Trump citing "free speech" and Ukraine war as his reasons for endorsement.
