The Palestinian Red Crescent (PRCS) stated in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that "targeting and deliberate killing of PRCS crews and volunteers is a war crime."
The PRCS called on the international community to "ensure the protection" of its personnel and facilities following the recent deaths of two of its paramedics, Ahmad Al Madhoun and Youseif Zeino, who were dispatched 12 days ago to rescue six-year-old Hind Rajab in the Tal El Hawa area in the Gaza Strip. Their bodies, along with Hind's, were discovered on Saturday.
"The contracting parties that signed the Geneva Conventions are obligated to enforce respect for international humanitarian law and must take the necessary measures to suppress, rebuke and punish the perpetrators," the PRCS stressed in the statement.
