Social network Reddit announced on Monday that it is introducing a test of a new feature called Reddit Answers, which will use an interface powered by artificial intelligence to provide users with answers to their questions.
The company revealed in a blog post that its new feature will offer "curated summaries of relevant conversations and details across Reddit" once the user poses a question. After that, the user can read snippets and answers from other users, dive deeper into full discussions, or pose follow-up questions, either their own or suggested ones.
The blog post also stated that "AI-powered search is part of our longer-term vision to improve the search experience on Reddit," noting that the feature will initially be available only to a limited number of users in the US, with support in English, but there are plans to expand to other languages and locations in the future.
