Renault Chairman Jean-Dominique Senard said on Friday that the company will probably could pursue bank loans of approximately €4 to €5 billion.
Senard told RTL radio that the loan "could be in that sort of region" and added that France is not considering nationalizing the company just yet.
Earlier, the company cancelled its dividend with Senard and interim chief executive officer Clotilde Delbos agreeing to pay cuts in order to help finance a solidarity fund for staff affected by the coronavirus crisis.
