Report: US envoy to brief Congress on Iran nuclear talks

United States Special Envoy for Iran Rob Malley is to discuss the current situation regarding nuclear talks with Iran with members of Congress on September 14, Politico reported on Friday, citing a memo obtained earlier in the day.

Before that, a similar meeting was held on June 15. The upcoming discussion will take place in a classified setting, Politico added.

Previosly, Washington announced it had received Tehran's response to the European Union's proposal, referring to it as nonconstructive.
