Report: US oil inventories down by 3.5M barrels

Crude oil inventories in the United States decreased by 3.48 million barrels in the week ending April 29, private data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) reportedly showed on Tuesday. Reserves in Cushing, Oklahoma, allegedly grew by 978,000 barrels.

Gasoline stockpiles declined by 4.5 million barrels, while distillate inventories contracted by 4.46 million barrels, according to the reported data.

Brent for July deliveries fell by 2.32% to go for $105.16 per barrel at 4:29 pm ET, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for settlements in June was 2.43% lower, selling for $102.63 per barrel at 4:27 pm ET.
