EPA-EFE / ANDY RAIN

British Prime Minister Theresa May met with members of her ministerial team to discuss how much Britain is prepared to pay as part of its Brexit divorce package, UK media reported adding that divorce bill may be a lot more than she committed to.

Last week, the EU repeated its early December deadline to May to present Britain’s offer on the financial settlement thought to be worth around 20 billion euros.

Media now reported that the ministers are prepared to increase its financial offer to the EU. The Guardian reported that the figure could amount to £40 billion but that any figure will be linked closely with the total package including the future trading relationship as well as the divorce agreement.
