Shares of Robinhood (HOOD) increased 11% on Thursday premarket, following the announcement of significant growth in trading volumes during February.
The online trading platform reported that trading volumes surged to $80.9 billion, marking a 36% increase from January and a 41% rise compared to February 2023. Notably, crypto trading volumes also showed impressive growth, totaling $6.5 billion for the month, which is a 10% increase from January and an astounding 86% jump from the same period last year.
At 4:44 am ET, Robinhood shares were trading up 11.13%, selling at $19.07 in premarket in New York.
