United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss mutual interests in the Middle East, as well as security and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, according to the US State Department.
The two officials spoke about their shared interests in Syria and Lebanon, as well as a path forward in Gaza. Rubio thanked Al Saud for his help in charting "a new course for Lebanon and humanitarian assistance to Syria and Sudan" adding that he looked forward to strengthening the partnership between their countries.
