Rubio, Burgum reportedly not Trump's VP pick

Florida Senator Marco Rubio was told he will not be former United States President and presumptive Republican nominee in the 2024 election Donald Trump's running mate, Politico reported on Monday.

The information was passed on to the outlet by two sources familiar with the matter. Rubio and his team are yet to comment on the allegations. Meanwhile, Fox News alleged that Trump's pick for his vice president is neither North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.

Previously, it was reported that Trump will announce the choice of his running mate later in the day at 4:30 pm ET.
