United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud discussed security in the Middle East during a phone call, according to a readout from the State Department.
Their talks covered efforts to end the conflict in Syria and improve diplomacy with Iran. They addressed US-Saudi cooperation on securing the Red Sea and halting the violence in Sudan.
The two officials also talked about strengthening ties between Washington and Riyadh.
