US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will attend the informal NATO foreign ministers meeting in Turkey from May 14 to 16.

The meeting will focus on efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war. The State Department said Rubio will also promote President Donald Trump's push for NATO allies to boost their defense contributions.

"The Secretary will advance President Trump's agenda of ensuring that our Allies contribute their fair share to making NATO stronger and more effective," the State Department stated.
