Rubio: Someone made big mistake in Signal chat

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that "someone made a big mistake," referring to the addition of an Atlantic journalist to a private Signal chat involving senior Trump security officials.

During a joint press availability with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Rubio reaffirmed that the White House is investigating the matter, echoing prior statements by US Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who rejected claims that the leak involved war plans.

He clarified that the Signal group was created to coordinate across government teams. "I contributed to it [the chat] twice," he noted, adding that the Pentagon assured him no shared content ever compromised the safety of US servicemen.
