    Russell wins Brazilian Grand Prix

    Mercedes' George Russell earned his maiden Formula 1 Grand Prix victory on Sunday in Brazil, after starting the race on pole position.

    The British driver led home a Mercedes one-two with teammate Lewis Hamilton who took the second spot on the podium, followed by World Champion Max Verstappen.

    "What an amazing feeling! A huge thank you to the whole team — It's been an emotional rollercoaster," Russell said after the arce. "I felt in control, Lewis was super-fast, and when I saw the safety car, I thought, Oh Jesus, this is going to be a really difficult end... He put me under so much pressure."
