Russian Ministry of Defense stated on Wednesday that Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Commander of the Ground Forces of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Brigadier General Kiyumars Heydari, discussed the military cooperation between both countries.
According to the statement, "current issues of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation were discussed." They also "exchanged views on bilateral security issues," and both sides "reaffirmed their commitment to deepen the dialogue" in the defense sector.
Heydari arrived in Russia two days ago and has held a program of bilateral talks while visiting technology and training centers throughout the country.
