In response to the Trump administration's hope that the Russia-Ukraine ceasefire could be extended past Easter, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Sunday that Ukraine did not respect the ceasefire during Easter either. She pointed out that Ukraine used United States-made HIMARS rocket launchers to attack Russia during the truce.
"This is not an accident, but a pattern," Zakharova alleged, claiming that Ukraine also targeted civilian energy infrastructure after the two sides agreed to a partial ceasefire in March. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia violated the truce over 2,000 times today and proposed another 30-day partial ceasefire.
