Spokesperson for the Russian Embassy in the United States, Igor Girenko, said Moscow sees the attack on Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines as an act of international terrorism.
"The United States, which claims to be the source of 'ultimate truth,' would do well to move from empty accusations against us to action," the spokesman noted, calling on Washington to "at least try to prove their own non-involvement in the destruction of gas pipelines."
In late September, Nord Stream 1 and 2 suffered massive explosions, which caused "extensive damage" to the two underwater pipelines connecting Russia to Germany, sparking speculation about possible sabotage.
