The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) alleged on Monday that the United Kingdom's intelligence services, with support from NATO, will carry out a mass raid on Russia's so-called shadow fleet, used to export Russian oil despite Western sanctions.
The SVR said it has information that the UK is planning to "stage an accident" involving an oil tanker, which will allow it to engage in an emergency inspection of the vessel. According to the SVR, the incident will be staged by the Ukrainian security forces and blamed on Russia, or, in the last case scenario, on Ukraine."
