The Ukrainian General Staff of the Armed Forces announced on Sunday that Russian troops continue to "storm" the Azovstal steel plant in the city of Mariupol.
"Our units in the area of the Azovstal plant continue to be blocked in the Mariupol direction" with the Russian army "carrying out assault operations with the support of artillery and tank fire," officials shared adding that "the enemy continues to transport weapons, military equipment, ammunition, fuel and lubricants to meet the needs of grouping troops."
Ukrainian officials further stated that the Russian navy continues its efforts to isolate specific areas in the Black Sea. Previously, Kiev claimed that country's forces have caused significant damage to the Russian troops in the Black Sea, near the Snake islands.
