Russian air defense systems intercepted 11 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Rostov region on Monday, TASS reported, citing the country's Ministry of Defense.
Earlier, the governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, reported in a post on Telegram that an electrical substation in the Novocherkasskaya GRES power station caught on fire.
He added that the fire had been quickly put out, but not before it caused the automatic disconnection of two 330 kV high-voltage lines dubbed Tikhoretskaya and Rostovskaya. No information was provided regarding the cause of the fire.
