Russian air defense system downed five drones over the Smolensk region, said the local head of government Vasily Anokhin.

He added that there were no victims or damage to buildings. Earlier during the night, six drones were intercepted over the Bryansk region in western Russia.

Russia downs 43 Ukrainian drones overnight
Russian forces downed 43 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.Of the 43 drones, 34 were shot down over the region of Volgograd, four were intercepted in Rostov, another four drones were destroyed in the Kursk region and one drone was shot down in the Belgorod region.
