Russia downs 125 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russia's Defense Ministry said on Sunday its air-defense forces destroyed and intercepted a total of 125 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) over several Russian regions and the Sea of Azov.

The ministry specified that a total of "67 UAVs were intercepted and destroyed over the territory of Volgograd region." A further 17 drones were downed in Belgorod and Voronezh regions respectively. Moreover, 18 drones were intercepted in the Rostov region and one in Bryansk, Kursk, and Krasnodar regions. Russian air defense systems destroyed three drones over the Sea of Azov.

At the same time, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that one person was killed and eight were wounded on Saturday. In the neighboring Voronezh region, debris from fallen Ukrainian drones caused a fire in a residential complex, the local governor wrote on his Telegram page.
