Russian Ministry of Defence said on Monday it has successfully forced a British spy plane RC-135 to leave its airspace after Moscow detected the plane had violated its air border.

''An aerial target violated the state border of Russia in the area of Cape Svyatoy Nos,'' the ministry noted today as cited by Russian media. The area is located in the northern part of the country.
