Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday said Russia targeted Ukraine overnight with 36 rocket attacks, most of which were repelled by the Ukrainian armed forces.

"These are vile strikes on critical objects. Typical tactics of terrorists. The world can and must stop this terror," he wrote in a Telegram post, expressing his gratitude to energy workers and services trying to repair the country's power grid as well as all of the nation's air defense troops.

Kiev Regional Military Administration Oleksiy Kuleba earlier on Saturday said a "massive" attack was launched by Russia during the day.
