Russian Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, stated that Moscow aspires to foster mutually beneficial cooperation with African countries in various sectors, TASS news agency reported.

Antonov emphasized Russian President Vladimir Putin's active engagement during the Russia-Africa summit held earlier this year, including participation in plenary sessions and numerous bilateral meetings. He noted that the Kremlin's proposals during the event were "specific" and "well-considered," serving as a catalyst for the implementation of Russia's strategy on the African continent. "Russia is aimed at providing real assistance to Africa in transforming the countries of the continent into a distinctive and influential center of world development," the envoy stated.
