Dmitry Yadrov, head of Rosaviatsiya, announced on Friday that Russia is ready to assist Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in investigating the AZAL Embraer plane crash near Aktau.

According to Yadrov, that morning, Ukrainian combat drones were launching terrorist attacks on civilian infrastructure in the cities of Grozny and Vladikavkaz.

The Embraer pilot had attempted to land in Grozny twice under dense fog and limited visibility but was redirected to Aktau after unsuccessful attempts. Yadrov noted that Grozny airport had activated "Kover" mode, clearing the airspace due to safety concerns.
