The Russian Investigative Committee disclosed on Friday that it has identified several Ukrainian servicemen involved in the murder of civilians in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye, Kursk region. Among the suspects are a senior soldier and three others. The Committee stated that these individuals illegally crossed the Russian border in September 2024 and carried out atrocities, including rapes, sexual assaults, and murders.
During interrogation, one suspect admitted guilt and provided detailed testimony about the crimes. From September 28 to November 24, 2024, the group allegedly killed 11 men and 3 women, while also raping and murdering 8 women. The bodies of 22 victims were reportedly moved to basements in the village.
Russian investigators, alongside the Defense Ministry, have recovered the victims' remains. The Committee urged anyone with information to come forward and vowed to identify the Ukrainian commanders and accomplices responsible, ensuring a legal assessment of their actions.
