The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on Tuesday that it put Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas on its list of wanted persons. It stated she is "wanted under an article of the Criminal Code," without specifying the article.
Kallas has been in power since 2021. Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, her government formed a united front with Latvia and Lithuania in support of Kiev. Last year, she was involved in controversy when it emerged that her husband had ties to a Russian company. She also reportedly expressed interest in becoming NATO's next secretary general.
