The acting governor of Russia's Rostov region, Yury Slyusar, announced on Monday that air defense systems intercepted and shot down eight Ukrainian drones over the area.

According to the governor, there have been no casualties in the reported attack.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a total of 42 Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the Rostov region over the weekend.
