Russia repels five attacks, captures two strongholds

Russian Armed Forces repelled five counterattacks conducted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kupiansk region, capturing two Ukrainian strongholds in the process, TASS reported, citing the officer of the press center of the troops involved, Yaroslav Yakimkin.

The 30th and 44th mechanized brigades of the AFU executed five counterattacks against Russian forces near the villages of Synkivka and Terny but were pushed back by Russian artillery and motorized rifle units, who managed to capture two AFU strongholds in the area.

The engagement resulted in 30 AFU casualties, and the destruction of an ammunition supply point and a control point for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Yakimkin told TASS.
