Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Monday, announcing the imposition of additional personal sanctions on a number of United States officials.
According to the communication published on the official website of the Foreign Ministry, 61 American citizens are now added to the "stop list," in response to the increasing sanctions the US has imposed on Russia and its political and public figures, as well as representatives of domestic business. The newest update to the list includes Janet Yellen, the US Treasury Secretary, as well as US Energy Secretary Jennifer Grenholm.
Last week, United States President Joe Biden approved further sanctions against the Russian government officials, "business leaders, luxury property of elites, and luxury asset management and service companies"
