Russian member of the delegation for negotiations with Ukraine, Leonid Slutsky, said on Friday that the agreement on the exports of Ukrainian grain isn't related to the resumption of peace talks between the two countries.
"Ukraine is committing horrific crimes, including against Russian war prisoners. That's what needs to change, not the grain talks in Istanbul. I won't rule out that common sense will prevail, but currently it is not the case," Slutsky shared in a Telegram post.
The statement follows an initial agreement between Kiev and Moscow about Russia lifting the blockade on the exports of Ukrainian grain from the Odessa Sea Port.
