The Russian Ministry of Defense said on Tuesday that Russian forces captured a Starlink station during the ongoing battles with Ukrainian armed forces in the Kursk region.
"Thanks to UAV reconnaissance, the assault group of the motorized rifle unit of the 'North' group of troops found AFU fighters stationed in a forest belt. After the report, the command made a decision to storm the "position," as a result of which four AFU servicemen were killed and a Starlink station was seized," the ministry said, as cited by Tass.
SpaceX's Starlink satellite communications system plays an important role in the Ukraine conflict, with the Ukrainian army relying on it for its drone operations and intelligence.
