Russian President Vladimir Putin's foreign policy aide, Yuri Ushakov (pictured center), called the negotiations with the US in Riyadh serious and productive.
"We agreed that we would take into account each other's interests, but at the same time promote bilateral relations," said Ushakov to the press. Nevertheless, further elaborating on the outcome of the discussion, the Russian representative added that it is "hard" to say that the US and Russia "are getting closer."
Regarding the potential meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ushakov stated that it is unlikely to take place next week.
