Russian forces launched shelling in the Ukrainian town of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast overnight on Monday, regional governor Valentyn Reznichenko announced.
The official said several houses and cafes were destroyed, however, no people were injured. "The consequences are still being investigated," he noted, adding that the situation remains calm at the moment. In other districts, the night passed without alarms or attacks, according to Reznichenko.
Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipro regional council, said the shelling was focused around the city of Marganets, with more than 30 shells striking that area.
