Russia shoots Ukrainian drone near Zaporizhzhia plant

The Russian Defense Ministry revealed on Monday the country's military forces yesterday destroyed a Ukrainian battle drone near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear station.

The ministry claimed that the drone was trying to attack the plant on Sunday, and confirmed that there was no significant damage or changes in the radiation levels. The event took place as IAEA inspectors prepared to visit the Russia-controlled plant later this week.

Meanwhile, both Kiev and Moscow continued accusing each other of shelling the area surrounding the plant and risking a nuclear disaster.
