Mongolian Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai (pictured) told the Financial Times the country expects Moscow to build the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline to China through its territory, as Russia looks to reroute its gas deliveries from Europe to Asia, with construction expected to begin in 2024.
Previously, Moscow announced plans to further increase gas supply to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline in accordance with the terms of the two countries' contract, noting that gas exports to the country jumped by 63.4% in the first six months of 2022.
