The Russian Foreign Ministry told TASS on Tuesday that Moscow's envoy to the United States, Alexander Darchiev, will lead his country's diplomatic team at the upcoming talks with Washington in Istanbul.
Meanwhile, the US will be led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State overseeing policy toward Russia and Central Europe, Sonata Coulter, the ministry said. It added that discussions will focus on normalizing the relations between Russia and the US and the work of their embassies in each other's territories.
The meeting will be held in Istanbul on Thursday.
