Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov cautioned Tuesday that the risks of spillovers in the region over the Israel-Hamas war persist.
"There is still a threat of an expansion of the conflict. This could have dire consequences for the entire region. This may be fraught with an even greater humanitarian catastrophe," Peskov told reporters.
He also said that the main aspect at the moment is to stop the war and then to engage in talks to resolve the conflict. "We need an independent Palestinian state and security guarantees for Israel. Israelis should live in peace and feel safe," he added.
