The Russian Defense Ministry claimed in its report published on Friday that the military's latest airstrikes on Ukraine came as a reaction to the latter country's "terrorist attacks."
The department said that the army targeted military-linked infrastructure "with high-precision long-range air, sea and land-based weapons" and drones. "The goal of the strike was achieved. All designated objects were hit," it said.
The ministry did not specify which incidents it had in mind. However, Russia's strikes came after Ukraine allegedly targeted its airbases and hit the Kerch Bridge in Crimea. Moscow then urged the United States and the United Kingdom to "stop this cycle of escalation."
