Russia: EU aggravates chaos in Belgrade-Pristina talks

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova argued on Friday that the European Union doesn't play a cohesive role in the reconciliation process between Belgrade and Pristina, and its involvement only seems to exacerbate the situation, leading to chaos.

"Considering the current aggressive and confrontational nature of this bloc, which is subordinate to the United States, there is no doubt that the EU has no unifying role. Its involvement only exacerbates the situation, leading to violence, chaos, and unrest," the diplomat stated.

Zakharova insisted that the latest round of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina mediated by the EU resulted in a total failure. "The EU not only once again permitted Pristina to continue evading its commitment to creating the Community of Serbian Municipalities in Kosovo, but they also failed to appropriately respond to the rapidly escalating tension caused by Kosovo Albanians," she said.
