Russia's presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev (pictured right) said on Wednesday that a new multipolar world order is being created on the basis of equality and mutual respect between nations.

"Changes happen all the time. We said - there was a bipolar system, there was a unipolar system. We are building a multipolar world based on equality and mutual respect of states, and it is still being built," he told reporters.

Yesterday, Russia and the United States agreed on a partial ceasefire between the former country and Ukraine, imposing a ban on strikes on energy infrastructure and committing to ensuring the safety of navigation in the Black Sea.
