Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on Friday warned that NATO's pledge to Ukraine guarantees not a path to the alliance, but instead leads it to an "irreversible path" toward the abyss.
"NATO is using and continues to use Ukraine as a consumable in the geopolitical confrontation with Russia," Zakharova stressed. She also pointed out that the primary outcome of the NATO summit in Washington was a response to the mental state of US President Joe Biden, accusing Western media of manipulating information about Biden's health for years.
Zakharova stated that footage online showed the "horrified" faces of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in response to Biden's remarks during the alliance's summit.
