Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov commented on Friday on the ongoing contacts between the United States and Iran regarding the latter country's nuclear aspirations, stating that the two nations have a chance to reach an agreement.
"If the parties do not immediately fall apart, pardon the expression, and if the process is continued, there are chances for a negotiated solution, despite the fact that, of course, the position of the Republican administration in the United States is extremely tough, much tougher than was the position of the Democrats. There are chances," Ulyanov told Russia-24 TV channel.
Talks between the US and Iran are set to take place in Oman on April 12.
