Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Thursday, during a conference in the run-up to the Ninth Review Conference of the States Parties to the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), that the United States has been evading answering questions regarding the biological activity in Ukraine.
Ryabkov claimed that the US has been ignoring numerous materials Russia has been providing on the issue while spreading disinformation without wanting to "have any meaningful discussion." He urged various parties to conduct a meeting in order to deal with the threat of biological weapons.
The Russian official reiterated that the country has evidence that biological experiments have been conducted in Ukraine near the former's borders. Ryabkov went on to accuse Washington of funding these biological labs.
