The Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova claimed on Thursday that the United States is not satisfied with how the conflict in Ukraine unravels and wants the latter country's President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch a counteroffensive "at any cost."
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Zakharova insisted that the US urged Ukraine to justify all the funds and military assistance it received by starting a counterattack against Russia, an effort she described as "suicidal."
The day before, the US announced a new package of assistance for Ukraine worth $1.3 billion.
