Leader of the local pro-Russian movement "We Are Together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov shared the plans to establish a free economic zone in the Zaporizhzhia region on Saturday.

Rogov estimated that such a move would help economic activity and investments in the area, saying that creating a free economic zone would allow "to quickly restart the region's economy and bring it to a new level."

Zaporizhzhia region is a crucial point in the Ukrainian conflict as the biggest nuclear power plant is located in its territory, and efforts are being made to establish a safety zone around it.
