Russian FSB confirms killing Ukrainian spy

Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) confirmed Friday that a Ukrainian military intelligence spy was killed after resisting capture.

The saboteur who arrived from Lithuania was allegedly planning to carry out terrorist attacks on military and energy facilities in Moscow and Leningrad region.

"It has been established that, at the command of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the saboteur planned to commit a series of terrorist acts on the territory of Russia, including against objects of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the Moscow region, as well as members of one of the volunteer battalions and its volunteer center in Saint Petersburg," the FBS said.
